EYAM MAP and CD-ROM
To mark its extraordinary history and the village's distinctive present circumstances, the Eyam Map Project have produced the Eyam Village map, originally launched in 2000 and augmented in 2005 by a multi-media CD-ROM. Both map and CD have received awards and the profits have been spent on improvements for both the village and visitors- click here for details.

The map measures 700mm X 1000mm, colour printed on both sides. One side shows the village as a hand-drawn perspective map with accompanying notes, and illustrations with views of landmarks and wildlife. The page-top graphic on this web page is a low quality scan from the map with the name superimposed, a slightly better quality jpeg graphic tops the home page. On the reverse of the printed map is written text on a number of topics relating to the village and its surroundings.
There is also a limited stock of wall maps recently released for public sale, the same size, but printed only on one side on higher quality paper. This would be suitable for framing as it is not folded, but sent rolled in a tube. See the section below this one.
The interactive CD ROM will delight all ages, educational and fun. It has a clever zoom-in copy of the map for on-screen display too. The terrible yet uplifting tale of Eyam village when the plague arrived is told by local inhabitants. History and current times are explained in filmed interviews, pictures and video clips. The CD also covers the natural history, local customs, and of course details of Eyam village as it is today.
The map and CD ROM have been produced through a voluntary group, employing professional designers. Sales of the map and CD go to fund specific projects in the village, the whole project is non-profit making and CD/map production funded by Local Heritage Initiative.
Extracts from the printed map and additional texts may be viewed on various pages accessed from the Website Map. See Visitor Information.
